When Mary Kom was all set to appear on the big screen, the makers of the film "Mary Kom" had to improvise. It wasn't just about adding her name to it or changing its title. No, they had to create something really special for people who loved this champion boxer and sportsperson. After some research, they came up with this idea - making a trilogy of films that showcased three different stages of her life. The first one was called "Mary kom hai India ka hai" which meant "Mary is India". The sequel was called "Pagal ho gayee hoon Mary ko mulaqat hoon" which meant "I'm trying hard now, I am surrounded by believers". And with this third part, Mary Kom is trying hard to rise again. The film will be known as "Mary Kom: Rise of a Champion".The film's shooting started in October 2014 and got completed in late January 2015. Post production work started from February 2015 and the film was released on 22 September 2015. Movie has a single song, with same title as the movie, sung by Shreya Ghoshal, composed by Pritam and lyrics were written by Kumaar.
